Here are the guide lines to using the admin capabilities*note* those who do not do as we ask, we will take away your privileges! Anything done in the server gets recorded by logs so there is no bull shitting your way out of it.
So far admin is $5 a month. No refunds are given because your money goes straight to the server not to my pocket.
Map ChangingFirst off don't do it. This is because the map rotations are set and we have spent months figuring out the best rotation and as you can see it works. I don't care if people say this map sucks, most people deal with it and when you give them the map they want they leave. Most people come on to play for a little bit, maybe just one round and when you change the map they usually say ah well this is a good time for me to stop or I don't want to wait for the map to load screw it, time for a different server.
I understand if it's late at night and there?s like 6 people on the server and you just want to fuck around. Then ya load the shitty maps or the fun maps like mario cart cuz nobody wants to play seriously. I'm all for it, its cool.
And if you are to change the map due to the situations always run suddendeath first and then change the map because I hate, just HATE when the map randomly changes! It's BULLSHIT! Run SUDDENDEATH so the match has an end and then change the map to what is desired.
Fucking AroundFucking around is fun to do we all know, but it sucks when you are burning a person or slapping them with admin powers and they don't like it. Just don't do it, it's cool once in a blue moon and I know you are gonna want to do it when you first get the power, but resist that! It's all good if someone asks for it because hey it was by request but don't fuck around to much! Try to just mess around when nobody is around and fuck yourself or something lol.
Also don't teleport yourself around and kill people, especially if it is a serious game with full amount of people in the server, thats just retarded come on. It's cool though like I said if we are all in a screwing around mood and you want to find the skybox in the map to make your self really huge, thats always funny, but be smart!
Which Mod is Which?Currently we are running two server mods which are Sourcemod=
www.sourcemod.net and beetlesmod=
www.beetlesmod.com When you bind this key bind m "@menu" you are using Beetlesmod and then when you bind this key bind n "sm_admin" you are using sourcemod
For now beeltesmod is the default, use that for playing sounds and such and map votes, ****DO NOT USE SOURCEMOD FOR MAP VOTES, THEY CHANGE THE MAP RIGHT AFTER!!**** beetlesmod sets whatever map is voted for the next map after the round is over, like I said before don't change the maps.
Sourcemod is good for enabling plugins like 100% crits which falls under the fucking around category. Also use sourcemod to mute an annoying player whos abusing voice chat, thats understandable to shut them up.
Banning people. Keep it to a minimum and if someone is being retarded or hacking, just keep on kicking them with beetlesmod, 3 times and they are automagicaly banned. Usually they get the message when you kick them but not everyone does.
Finally whenever you think of doing something, pass it on to the people first, this is a democratic server. It's the people's server, the people's elbow, and the people's eyebrow. You can do custom votes by typing this in the console "sm_vote "should I enable 100% crits" source mod automatically puts a question mark at the end and sets it up as a yes no question automatically. Then you see the results in the chat and you know the answers and then proceed.
