Map Rotation

Hey guys, well I think it's now time we change the map rotation.  The one we have works fine and brings people in the server but it's getting old to a lot of people including myself.  I would like to keep some of them up like toy fort but what you guys like to see.  Lets make a list and then I will create a vote post to get things going.  Also would anyone like to see more sounds added?

maybe here in the near future i will get back into making maps and learn how to make some tf2 maps for the server

as for the maps getting old, i dont think ive even gone through the full rotation but hey ive been playing what, 2 nights in a row now lol

Good suggestions guys, I changed the map voting more so that the number of votes needed wont fail like they usually do now.  Its a test for now and Im thinking along the lines of keeping the same rotation but change the options for votes, things might flow a lot better that way to keep people in the game and play the maps we want.

hydro doesnt do well on the stats on steam people dont like it, its okay imo

and negative on rainbow yuck.

Hydro is a horrible map. Same as koth_rainbow.

I think that every map in this[/url] map pack would work well on the server except for ctf_moonwalk.

Rainbow is fun sometime when you wanna just freak for a couple minute, its worse map ever, but its actuallly funny for 5 minutes. Not more if you dont wanna be sick. But cmon, sometime like 5 time a years put it on the maplist or do a vote to add it in map selection.

Have you guys checked out ToyFort_v6?  It has a lot of underground passages and wall passages that connect to each other.  I beleave there are five enterances into the room rather then just the three.  There is even a passage that allows you to get on the bed without having to blow half your life up as a demoman or solder.

I only say this because in most of my experiance on toy fort engis like to camp.  And thats fine with me but they camp in way up high in places a spy can't go so it creates this unrealistic stale mate.  They blue team may be doing better because they have gotten the center point but they can't progress beyond that.  Also since half of the red team is engis it is hard for that team to take back the center point.

ToyFort_v6 eliminates that by providing more ways to enter the opposing room.  Everything is inner connected.  The wall passages connet to the underground passages.  There's even a place above the center point to drop sticky bombs.  You can get onto the dressers and toy box as someone other then an engi or demo/soldier.

Just a thought.  I like games that actually progress.  SOmetimes it's because the players don't know how to do team work.  And you can't change that.  Luck of the draw in most cases.  But sometimes it's the map itself.  Oh course I like to screw around and have fun like the next guy.  I just think that more options on a map equalls more fun.

Get rid of toyfort_v6. It's far too easy for spies to get behind snipers and the map doesn't progress anymore than the old one did. Also, it's far too big now.

Alright guys, anymore suggestions?  Should I do a vote then on what maps to add and what maps to take off?  Any suggestion please post, otherwise the map rotation will remain the same.......NO!!!!!!!!!

Yea I know about the Orange_x new one, I'll look into that later cuz i havent seen it yet.  I'm thinking since I changed the map voting system to pretty much have to choose what the people want.  I'm gonna leave up this map rotation and add the maps to the vote list of what you guys want.  That way if nobody is on the server like td member wise, people play the same maps like orange, dustbowl, goldrush ect.  Then we hop on and get the server on maps we want, though as we know we will loose players because people only like orange, dustbowl, goldrush.

kk thats not a bad idea, probably not the dustbowl version, that one wasnt to good because blue could never get past the first part.  But please guys speak up about what maps you guys want.

{TD}AxCell{RS}  told me the other night about a modified version of ctf2fort called 2fort open or something like that.  it sounded pretty neat; All the fences in the middle are removed, and there are many new rooms in the basement from what I understand.

I can't stress more how much fun both of those are. Especially 2Fort Open. It's the same map, just with every window, gate, or door open so you can go ANYWHERE on the map.

Oh yea btw, I pretty much got all the maps you guys requested so let me know what you guys think, according to steam the updates got pushed back until tomorrow.... and theres supposed to be new maps so i say hold it off unless you guys want to go on the test server and do whatever the fuck you want there, let me know if you want admin for the test server btw.
