My top 3 favorite movies are:
1) Fight Club
Always entertaining, especially while drunk or sleep deprived. Almost every line in the movie is quotable. Teaches you important skills, such as selling clothes from a laundromat for cash, or making homemade nitroglycerin.
2) Shaun of the Dead
This movie makes the threat of zombie invasion not only plausible, but also enticing. I'm going to go out and buy a cricket bat right now.
3) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
"We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. " 'Nuff said.

Transformers - Michael Bay sucks my ass and you like one of the most unintelligent, stupid movies ever. Seriously, describe the plot of those movies out loud. I am Legend - a butchering of the book, the book was about what defined "normal" and how he was the one who became the persecuted, abnormal freak. This one is just about vampries. Cloverfield - above average action, but the camerawork (lol) was abhorrent, even for a fake handheld feeling. You can't even see anything for 20-30 minutes of the movie because it's too fucking dark. Aliens - average action flick Full Metal Jacket - good movie, but the second half sucks my ass and you're an idiot for having it in your top movies. Star Wars - These movies are simply futuristic action, not sci-fi. Go watch Primer if you want true sci-fi. Or, you know, go read some of the infinitely better books by Asimov. Monty Python - Everyone tries to be trendy by saying these movies are their favourites. I don't believe you. |

GO WATCH FUCKING GODZILLA, THIS MOVIE SUCKS. My favorite movies are Godzilla vs Gigan, Princess Mononke, and End of Evangellion. Godzilla vs Gigan is one of the best Toho moives, Princess Mononoke is pretty self explanitory, and EoE is the best ending of any annime ever. Except maybe Lucky Star. |
