Resistance Fall of Man 2's med gun

I was reading an article about the new Ristance Fall or Man 2 for the PS3.  Apperently there are three classes in multiplayer.  The medical class has a gun with bullets that hurts enemeys but heals team mates.  This is differnt from the med gun in TF2 which has a limited range and only heals.  Imagine getting a freandly sniper shot to the head from your medical buddy, when you are down to 1% health, then having that same medical dude help you kill the badguys.

I'm really considering exchanging my Wii for the PS3.  The first risistance game got high ratings and I love hte Ratchet and Clank series (Another game franchise by Insomniac).  The fact that they riped off a good idea from TF2 just makes me love them all the more.

PS3 Is amazing all around, but im sure that someone will right a plugin for TF2 to do the same thing, im gonna look at that and see what it can do, i know theres one where a medic can right click and drop a health pack from uber build up, but it still crashes the server.
