    I had the same problem today, I thought my conection was droppend but i shut it down and lanched it again and it worked fine.

    Restart, or try a system restore if you changed some settings...

    Thanks guys.  I restarted the computer and everything's working fine.  Interesting when I restarted the computer there were three steam programs running on it.  Yet nothing showed up on the Window's Task Manager.
