RPG games

I have been looking for a RPG/MMORPG to play ever since playing DAoC for 5 1/2 years and the look as been not only worthless but painstaking.  I have played everything from No name MMORPGs to big named ones like Age of Conan and World of Warcrap..  Both proved to be more then a waste of time.  I am looking for something with superior PvP over graphics and players.  I dont give to shits about how good the game looks or how big of a name title it has.  I want solid pvp and gameplay over all else.  If anyone knows of or plays a good MMORPG or just RPG plz let me know.   EQ 1,2, RFO, Lin 1,2, WoW, DAoC, EO2, AoC, Rage, etc.  Have been my attempts thus far.

Runescape is basically a waste of time and life, It has horrible gameplay, you pretty much chop trees and walk in circles. Personally I'm not a fan of RPG's, but that's my opinion on RS.

I have yet to try Runescape and it really didnt look that good to me.  I never got to play UO cause I was in jail but I have been thinking about checking it out now that it has a X-pac for it.  I have heard many good things about it. I have tried google for RPGs and it really hasnt gottin me anywere  SWG looks decent now that they fix a bunch of things but /shrug I really hate paying for something that I prob wont even like end content of.

What is it specifically about RPGs that you are looking for.  You want PvP.   Does this mean you would like something more then just sitting around and pushing a button waiting for you to strike the other person?  You looking for something more along the lines of Oblivion where you control your character?

Jumpgate: Evolution

Check this game out.  Unlike Eve and other RPGMMOs that takes control out of your hands, this game give you complete control of the ship.  You point and shoot.  Very much like Freelancer but it is an MMO!

I would rather not talk about things I did when I was 18..  I was young and not vary bright.  Anyway I like have more control with my char in rgps.  The more control the marrier Oblivion is a great game but could never be a MMO.  There is no balance.  But something along the lines of that would be amazing.

Ya I am waiting for diablo 3 but I am not a fan of potion spammers and I really hope they fix that aspect.. healer class would be nice too.  Been healing for 9 years now and not looking to change that honestly.

Pfft starcraft is a RTS not a MMORPG/RPG.  I dont really get into RTSs that much but of course I have played starcraft!  I am waiting for 2 to come out soon and am vary excited for release.  ZERG!

Here is my sudgesstion, if your looking for a good Role Playing thing check out Vice City: Multi-Player, go to the server called "Argonath RPG." I'm a member there, and it is really fun. Check it out if your interested.

Jump Gate Evolution looks sweet. I've never paid to play a game, but I have been in search of a fun and engaging space game.

Used to play freelancer (doesn't work on vista ) ... Tried eve on-line, but that game felt like I was downloading a shitton of shit, when I was only mining an asteroid, so it was incredibly slow paced.  So I've been looking for a freelancer mmo hybrid, and that game looks to be jump gate.  

Thing I liked about freelancer was exploring the universe, and building up your ship to withstand the harsh environments of the outer regions.  

I signed up for the beta for jumpgate, but have not received a confirmation yet... I'll let you know when I get updates.

At Silent bob:  I feel you man.  Eve online was sooo boring.  You don't even aim your ship at the enemy.  You just click on him and it's a role of the die!  I too loved to play Freelancer.  It took skill and smarts to choose the correct guns for your ship.  Some guns were very powerful but didn't shoot fast enough to do any real damage.  I learned the hard way that you can't just buy the biggest guns on the market.  Let me know if Jump Gate rocks.

ps.  A friend of mine played Freelance.  He said it was way too easy to play.  Of course being a pilot for a b-52 prepared him a little bit lol.

ya C&C is good, i tend to get my ass kicked by tiberian sun and havent played the newer one enough yet, though i am getting rocked on the later missions.

RA3 has the possibility to kick ass though

Yeah Skitzo Vice City as in GTA, only it is called Vice City: Multi-player. You could also try Multi-Theft Auto, San Andreas Multi-Player, the Argonath RPG server is avaiable in them as well.

How much does Vice city go for now a days?  Or is the multi player aspect just a mod to VC GTA?

You can find Vice City for less than $10, I have never seen it cost more than that.  And for multi-player you just down load it from the site www.vicecitymultiplayer.com it is not a mod at all, however if you mod certain area's of the game than the Multi-player won't work. So Pawfect Films mod, doesn't work for multi-player. So you would have to uninstall Pawfect Films if you had it, so multi player will work. Other mods like skins mods work.

Hell yes. Awesome game.

But if you're looking for a nice storyline RPG game, and a "so-so" combat system, you have to try the Xenosaga series, hands down. The graphics and it's "so-so" combat keep getting better and better. Even if you don't like it, you atleast must try it out.

I am a big fan of AD&D.  I am trying to get some of my friends to play it with me but none of them are interested.  I would have to play over hamachi too..
