I put hlstats back up and I'm working on getting it so the points and ranking system gets removed, I love everything about hlstats except the points system and the rank and if I can't get it to work and this becomes impossible to do then I will just delete the entire system.
Also you can use these domains to connect to the test server
just bind the key that your not using to connect to the regular server, so say your using F12 to connect to the test server then use any of these:
bind F11 "connect ts.teamdomination.com"
bind F11 "connect test.teamdomination.com"
bind F11 "connect vent.teamdomination.com"
Or if you are using F11 like me to connect to the reg server then use any of these:
bind F12 "connect ts.teamdomination.com"
bind F12 "connect test.teamdomination.com"
bind F12 "connect vent.teamdomination.com"

s'okay. You can make yourself invisible on the stats page. Just type /hlx_hideranking *Edit: It works for the HLstatsX page, but it still shows your points to you in the chat. Which is what I wanted to never see again. But at least nobody will know how many points I do or don't have. |

that's perfect, in fact I think I'm going to reset the stats completely if the new setup works and then give the top 10 players and top then announcement or maybe just a clan member gets an announcement.

I'll translate:
Dom is going to reset the stats entirely if the new configuration works.
He will then make the server announce the Top10 players when they join the server. Barring that option he will make the server announce TD members when they join.

I think having some form of stats adds something to the TD server experience (besides sounds and the awesome TD members). Chocoleilei, papamatt, and toosleepy13 are some of my RL friends who also play on the server and they enjoy them as well. Its a fun way to have some simple form of competitve measurement against your friends and a useful tool to illustrate to them how many times you have owned their face using statistical data lol!
Just thought i'd throw me 2 pennies in there before they get taken down hehe. It sounds like the upkeep for hlstats is a pain, so i can understand why an admin would want to ditch it after a while. The TD server will still be a great place to play with or without stats!
IF you are taking it down:
Can i redeem my hlstats points for frequent flier miles to Hawaii?
