    Lasers aren't that large when you look at the innards.  Without the large (AAA, AA) batteries, they could easily be palmed by a skill prestidigitator.  The lasers wouldn't have much of a life span with a watch battery, but then his act wasn't very long was it.

    That said:  It was inventive and innovative for being an extremely old video.
