A forumula for awesome:  Activate a StealthBoy, sneak up to an unsuspecting enemy, pickpocket them, and drop an explosive into their pocket.  Frag grenade, Plasma grenade, (my personal favorite) NukaGrenade, or whatever...  the result is always hilarious.

And the reason for the thread: what have you done or found in the wasteland that amuses you.

Burke killed the Sheriff and disappeared before I could dispense Wasteland Justice, I then took the Sheriff's hat, AK-47, and clothes and proclaimed myself the Gunslinger.

I took a Key off of him also to the Megaton Armory, I opened it up only the see a robot, who yells:  KILL THE ALL LET GOD SORT 'EM OUT"

I shat bricks.

He then started shooting plasma at me so I ran out. I took besides me and see him SHOOTING FIRE AT ME FUCK.
I jumpoff the ramps and then all the Megaton residents started shooting at me.

..Loaded my last save before I entered the Armory.

I also saved Butch's Mom And he gave the a Tunnel Snakes jacket. Fuck year.

Also: Did anyone else killed Amata's dad?

Butch was an asshole, I told him I wouldn't save his mom and started swearing at me, and then I ran in a room randomly and some bitch was getting attacked so I saved her and butch comes running saying thank you so much dude!  I was like damnit, f-u butch then he gave me his jacket so if guys didnt know, butch is actually gay and that's why he picked on everyone plus I kicked his ass before I took that weird test.

I saved Megaton and you get a house, with a fucking robot named Wadsworth, for it.  I was running around my house punching things, y'know like Stobbin, and the tin can got in my way.  I didn't even hurt the guy but he flipped, started sawing me and shooting fire.  I left the house and he just kept following me around town.  He set fire to a couple settlers, I ended up having to fry Wadsworth with a laser pistol.  Poor idiot.  I ended up loading from my last save so I wouldn't hurt him again.

yeah i did the part where burke kills the sheriff.  i undid that cause i like the sheriff and didnt want him dead. I think ill kill burke though and take his suit. I love how everyone is the same size.

Side note: I was recently close to the mart where some super-mutants were hiding out. A few outcasts from the brotherhood (I don't even know what that is yet and please dont tell me) showed up killed the mutants but a few died too.  They have the sick iconic storm trooper suits except red and black.  I tried putting it on but I guess I have to learn how to wear certain clothes...

BOB SAGET! I accidentally hit f5 when playing around. I lost my sniper rifle, and a quest, killed off someone i didnt want to and stuff. Stobbin you got anything to recover a save like that?

Worst case scenario for your lazy ass:  use about 10 console commands to set everything back to normal.  give yourself a sniper rifle, spawn said dead person, and reactivate the quest at a certain stage.  All of those are pretty specific though, so you better know exactly what you want done.  It might break the game if you aren't incredibly accurate.

Well, the best place to look would be the Fallout Wiki.  Unfortunately, since the game is still relatively new, the wiki doesn't have formID's for quests and only a few for NPC's.  Item codes are easy.

There's this guy and apparently your his "employer" (slaver) and he follows and you around and shit and his name's Charon. He's really good w/ combat shotgun and once my meshes/textures were fucking up so he..held his shotgun by his...thumb.

Sorry for the double post, I just wanted to revieve this awesome thread.

Another formula of awesome:
1. Type into the console "tcai" (no quotes). This toggle all of the combat AI off. (Just type it in again to enable)
2. Type into the console "player.placeatme 1CF95". This summons a Super Mutant Behemoth near you, but it doesn't attack since it's combat AI's off.
3. Go ahead and select the Behemoth in the console and the type this: "modscale 1" Yes, this makes him very big.
4. After that, unselect your monster (lawl spore) and type in "player.placeatme 1CF95 99" This makes 99 small ones and 1 big one.
5. Next, type in "tgm" and "tcl". Tgm (durr) is God mode and tcl (durr) is noclip. Fly up into the sky and look at your army. Awesome, isn't it? Now blow 'em up with a Fat Man or Something. I actually support:
player.additem 00033FE2 1
player.additem 0005932F 50
^ Giant Robot Guns. Ftw...
6. After your done killing your army, and leveling up (there's no doubt you will level up), feel free to type "tcai" one last time into the console.
7. Repeat.

Edit- Use Formula of Awesome 2 in open area.

Another fun thing to do with the MIRV is to aim directly at the ground and fire.  Another way to fast travel!

Also, I tried out the MIRV out of few seconds ago. What's really fun, when you tcl and go up into the air, just randomly fire.

It usually hits things; good and bad. :p

It looks like Fallout will be getting a construction set, like Oblivion and Morrowind, coming in December.

There will also be DLC, like new places to go, and add-ons to the main quest.

God Mode.

Start game with 10 intel.  Dump points intel right away 10 is a must.  Char is worthless and so is str in the start.  u need 2 points in str then do the ant quest and get 1 point for free for iron fist later
Use intense training to get your other points up to 10  Then balls to the wall for dmg time.  Get all stuff to increase you dmg with unarmed and with some practice your points in sneak with be amazing dmg.  Sml guns is just for ranged attacking while getting up close or if they try to run you can shoot the bitch in the leg for a ez catch up and kill.  With this spec and some practice the hardest difficultly should be a breeze.  Not to ez tho cause everything has massive ammounts of hp.  Str is Malee and NOT unarmed.  Dont be fooled.  Make sure you get the perk that gives you more points to spend right away too.  You will pretty much have unlimited money if you have your medicine high enough cause you will use less stimpacks the only other expense you have is repairs..  Outside of that pretty much pure profit.  I had a Fiesto and my guy was lvl 17 but saved over it ffs! Save VATS for when close and also use your ranged if someone tries to run to shoot there ass in the leg.  It will slow them down and allow you to get it close for the kill again.  I am speced explosives on this guy but really isnt worth it.  Cyborg is 100% worth getting as a maleer too.  Stay away from the Chance to get stuff because it just doesnt go off enough.  I got the body explosion perk too for the 5% more dmg.  If you want me to look up the real names just ask I havent played for a bit so I dont remember really the names.

Talk to burke in morioties  and put 25 points into explosives.  The quest is called The Power of Atom.  Then it is a long run to Tenpenny tower and you get to watch the most realistic a-bomb I have every seen in a game.

Deathclaw Gauntlet.  Find a blueprint, collect useless shit and assemble at a toolbench.

Blueprint assumes you can kill an actual deathclaw.  I suggest making & hitting it with a Dart Gun first and then shooting it with something else from far far away.

Ya there is a bunch of random spots where the Deathclaw appears.  The game has a ton of random generation areas in it. You can walk out of the first vault and there is a house on the hill that a deathclaw spawns too.  Doesnt really take much effort.
