I just recently started skinning for L4D, which means i suck at it. Truth be told, i've never really used photoshop before now so i dont know how to use any of its nice features. If any of you have done work with photoshop, any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Heres my first skin for the sniper:
When i was working on it i added a brightness layer so i could see it better (for some reason photoshop likes to show me my pictures really dark) and i guess i forgot to take it off before saving so it looks lighter than it probably should. Ive had mostly trouble with making the metal a brighter (shiney) color without making it look like a toy. I dont really know how to add texture to make it look realistic. The "textures" in photoshop suck and dont provide any help.
As you can see, i dedicated this model to Kaji because i never see his ass anymore.

Screen resolution fine (if anything: too small). Posted pictures too large.
Could you put some Caution tape (POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS) on the SMG? or just give it some yellow highlights?
The sniper rifle looks good. Like sniping zombies from the 80's.

I would put yellow on it except i already started skinning it and went with a black/silver/red theme as you can see here if anyone wants their name on it let me know. also, i always like comments and suggestions. if you think the pics are too big then oh well, too lazy. |

the uzi also looks good.
The SMG is the upgrade to the uzi. The larger SWAT team style gun.
