Perhaps a dragon or tiger. Tribal or stylized. Either behind it or maybe on the corners. I would maybe even move the symbol to the corners. Kinda draw it away from the middle. I dunno, just throwing some ideas out  |

i like the carbon fibre backround, but agreed with koihaibane i'd go with a dragon or a tiger maybe even biting the symbol or leaning on it or something.. like maybe this tiger and looking straight at the sign..and maybe the dragon or another dominant figure looking the the way at the sign...i dunno mann just ideas..definitely goes with strength/power tho!  |

i was wanting the symbol to be more of the focus, and an animal (dragon/tiger) or anything like that would take away from the symbol

the symbol can still be the focus with a animal in the picture, you could always do some kind of tribal design perhaps comming from behind the symbol and working out towards the edges.

Ooooooo I like the dragon, I don't think it's too much.
Maybe if you changed the colors a little so the circle behind it and the dragon are a more subtle color than the actual symbol it would look less busy, or less too much. ?
