Oy! So my real name is Alisa, I?m 19, I?m engaged to Mr. MiYuggi, and most of my life currently consists of studying Radiology. When I don?t have a shit-ton of homework to do, I attempt to TF2, but unfortunately I a) am a n00b, and b) get about 7 FPS (I have a bootcamped macbook.. working on replacing it with something functional this summer). I am a bit of a forum addict though. I love TD in game or in text format, but will see you here most of the time because of my crazy schedule/shitty computer. Everything in here tends to be funny to me; I?ll laugh at almost anything and don't get offended easily. I hate drama, and I?m pretty passive about it unless I see a way to turn it into a joke.. but if you act like a whiny bitch I will treat you like one. Koi and Squid, try putting this into the command line when you right click the tf2 icon on the desktop. On the target line were is shows the path for the .exe file to boot tf2 after all that jazz put this in
-dxlevel 81
Dom showed it to me, it makes TF2 run on directx 8.1 instead of 9 or what ever the default is on your compy. It boosted my fps to about 30ish for most maps.
Mine reads like this "C:\Program Files\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 440 -h 849 -w 600 -dxlevel 81, though I don't remember why I have that first part like that
