    Alot of stuff has been going around that valve is tweaking all the classes that has received an update with new weapons, and some of the testers have revealed some things coming out.

    Map related: None

    Class related:

    Heavy: While his only weakness is his speed, valve is giving the heavy a melee that increases his speed. No penalty's at the time.
    A minigun that has a lot less spread.
    Changes will be added to the sandwich, But the changes are in planning phase.

    Medic: Made it more obvious to show if players are using kritzkrieg.
     
    Pyro: None

    Scout: Sandman now lowers scouts health to 95, but keeps his double jump
    FaNs knock back based on damage and acuraccy
    Tweaking done to pistol

    Sniper: None

    Engineer: [Unconfirmed] A wrench that increases build speed but you can't upgrade.

    Demoman: Changes to the class self-damage

    Soldier: Changes to the class self-damage

    Spy: Spy is getting not 1 but 2 suits, 1 reduces flame damage by 90%, But removes the revolver
    The second one is also against pyros, but is unconfirmed on what it does.

    Thats it for now. Ill probably update it as that thread does.

    yeah but fire is a way of marking the spy for others to shoot as well

    if you cant set him on fire, then you would have to shoot everyone that walks near you a lot to make sure that they arent a spy

    maybe he will still ignite, but not take afterburn damage, similar to when the Dead Ringer is activated.

    It would suck if they removed his ability to ignite altogether without adding some alternate way of spy-checking.

    This is called TEAM FORTRESS 2 for a reason. You probably have a mic. There is a voice command for identifying spies. You have text chat to warn your team. Why not use them?

    Besides, spychecking is easy enough as it is. Not counting the flamethrowers, there is:
    -Walk into them.
    -Blutsauger. If you get +3 health, he's a spy.
    -Ubersaw. If you gain uber, he's a spy.
    -Natascha. If he's slowed, he's a spy.
    -Sandman. If he gets Bonk'd, he's a spy.
    -Huntsman. It'll one-shot anybody, including spies.
    -Anything that does damage. It isn't hard to fire 2-3 shotgun blasts at someone, and that's usually enough to kill or scare off a spy.

    spychecking could still be used and dont forget the penalty to the spy, no revolver
    might be better if they make it only fireproof when disguised, maybe maybe

    i dislike that they havent put an effort towards the pyro, at least set the damage dropoff back

    Class-specific nullification tends to be a bad way to deal with class weaknesses.  However, taking the pistol away would make spies (most likely severely) underpowered considering that is just one way spies can be found.  At least it will be a choice.

    Also, it takes away a strength from the pyro, further hindering its use as a class.

    Everyone understands what you wrote, and already knew all of that ahead of time.
    The point being that one of the pyro's main functions is the spy-check, and i think it's unfair to take that away without giving him (the pyro) an alternate means of alerting the team and chasing away. Spies tend to panic when on fire, which usually causes them to retreat until they find health or the fire wears off. That adds a good amount of time for engiees to deal with any havok the spy may have caused. And none of the things you listed for spy-checks draws the attention of your team better than a pillar of flames on top of a semi-visible man trying to run away from you.

    I would be fine with the spy only taking 25% fire damage when disguised or invisible even without sacrificing the revolver, as long as they still burst into flames.

    What would be awesome is if the spy could trade his revolver for a weapon sapper that temporarily sapped whatever weapon the enemy is currently holding.

    i believe that this "pistol-less spy" arguement is really retarded, it simply means that a spy now requires for skill to play. spies now have to aproach a target secretly, stab/sapp (like pro spys do) so the gun was simply just a little extra someting

    i may have read it wrong, but it just cuts BURNING damage, as in you aren't fireproof, but burning itself is not effective. so the spies would catch fire but not take as much damage from it. Pyro's arent gonna die, they're just gonna have to find a way to gain points besides running around with the flamethrower active. Spies have more time to find water, or healthpacks, or whatever while they're on fire.

    on the other hand, HEAVY WEAPONS GUY IS HAPPY FOR SASHA!!! I wouldn't mind a narrower cone and less damage. and moving faster with fists would be great. and i want to be 10% faster with Sasha spinning, too.

    Honestly I probably wont either, I've learned to get around pyros.  Though there still are situations faced when there is nothing you can do.  Also without the revolver you are pretty much best on melee only days, it isn't that powerful but it really does help sometimes.

    Scout: Sandman now lowers scouts health to 95, but keeps his double jump
    FaNs knock back based on damage and acuraccy
    Tweaking done to pistol

    I may actually use Sandman now. All I've ever wanted was double jump and taunt kill...

    I'm looking forward to seeing scouts use the Force a Nature properly now.

    Only tweaks I can see as plausible are matching reload time with the actual reload animation. More ammo would be nice though.

    90% less damage from fire doesnt mean the spy doesnt catch on fire... it just means he wont take as much damage... sooo he'll still be marked for death.. but i still wana keep my ambassador so i can headshot stupid ass snipers with the razorback Smiley}

    I've found that if you crouch in front of a razorback sniper and start knifing him from the front, he usually won't notice until it's too late.

    i do wonder what this 2nd suit does. i needs my revolver how else am i gonna snipe snipers and when they do get a shot on me i dead ring behind them and backs stab the entire defense? i wish i could beta test that stuff i want to know what it looks like more than anything.

    the new update yesterday just made it so the pyro may be the only spychecking class for the effects from hitting a spy (blutsauger +3 health) no longer happens
    just sayin and u could just sweep a fast firing weapon and look for a disturbance

    actually you still gain the 3 life its just not visibly displayed. i tested this earlier today, it wasnt saying +3 but my life was going up per hit. really the update has made ppl have to be aware they still are doing damage to said spy. im just annoyed that they nerfed the deadringer i can understand 6 secs but 4 secs kinda hurts ya know, but ill adapt, its what i do. XD

    DR makes the spy insanely fun. also i find that i dont usually die by pyro, but those MOTHERFUCKIN afterburn always gets that assist.
