What torrents do you use and how often do you use them?
I no longer have my service which was pretty safe legal wise but it was paid for monthly so I'm thinking to start torrenting. I was told by a friend to use Vuse and that it works pretty well but I'm curious as to what you guys use and how often. Mostly I would download movies really and I would do a couple per week so I doubt there's a good chance of getting busted but again your thoughts?

I use uTorrent, and I have peerblock
I download lots of tv shows, you dont really have to worry about that, I download movies, but not very many, and game downloads are few and far between
I use rlslog, tvtorrents, and demonoid to download from

Does it matter how many movies you download?

I also do dis. Another method is to completely abuse private trackers until they just ban you. Most have ratio trackers that do not auto-ban, so you're looking at a 3-5 day window before a human notices. Private trackers: There's a million of them and there are only a handful that I would never do this to. Your first torrent-raep victim: http://xtremetv.org/index.php + all the links on that site.

Stobbin you hero.
Also, Vuze is a bit of a beast as far as torrent programs go. Better off using uTorrent, since its not a resource hungry java monster.

I used to use Utorrent but have switched to bittorrent for a khwhile now...websites i used to dl torrent are extratorrent.com and btjunkie.org usually i find almost everything on them... and i haven't had to worry about gettin notices here in india coz i doubt they even track anything but i'm sure i'll have to start being safer when i come back, but from what i remember i used to do the same thing when i was in chicago and i never got any notices! fingers crossed!

I use bittorent too. As for the tracker, I usually use the pirate bay (Look, where I am in canada, its not like it really matters. I also got a demonoid account, just in case.)
My current ISP throttle when they see a torrent. By using a random port and encrypting my torrenting they stopped doing that.
(Beside, I mostly download tv shows because they are always playing like a month after the US, in canada, and I record them with my PVR, so a case could be made that I own the right to watch them. Anyway)
