I'm a big believer in seeing things through to the end... but, I'm afraid this is it.
The server has gotten almost 0 activity in the past year, and the forums are dead. It's time for me to head out. I will stop payment on the tf2 server next month, and I don't think I'll be active on the forum either.

Well, Stoolie, I believe you saw this one through past the end. I'm sad to see the server finally go, but I think I can speak for everyone in thanking you for keeping it barely alive all this time. However, I realize the few reunion nights we had just weren't cost-effective. It's been good having you around, with your excellent photoshop skills and sense of humor. I'm assuming you'll still be around on Steam? I just might stalk you in random servers from time to time. I just loves me some Dark_Stoolin' backstabs and fire. And rockets. And generally getting owned by mysteriously dark fecal matter. |

D_S, you tried hard and fought the good fight.
I'm angry at myself for getting my acc disabled and not being able to play in the past 2-3 months or so.
I just hope to get it back and be able to play with everybody somewhere.
Hats off to you, D_S, and a sad farewell to the first gaming community I truly fit in with.

Yea I don't blame you man I understand. It was nice to know the server was there when we wanted it to be but it also sucks that nobody really got on it. If the server goes I probably wont really hop on that much (surprise) but it's not like I play that much to begin with, I just don't think its worth going to other servers with out all the control we had TD though it was a ghost town.
I'll keep the forums up and running and probably switch to a lighter web host. Most likely down the road around this time TD likes to find a new game in the winter time and abuse the crap out of it and grab a shit load of members and then get sick of the game and slowly die again, it's a phase I guess. Really though there isn't shit to do in the winter time so don't be surprised if you start seeing us again and you can always come back if something doesn't work out for you.
Thanks for paying for the server and sticking around with your contributes. I hope the best for you and I know this isn't goodbye, I'll join you once in while like the rest in the new place you find.

Sad as it is to say, I agree with you. What i reckon happened is that TD got bored of playing TF2 (or for whichever reason couldn't get on to the server). If, as you say, the server has seen 0 activity over the last year, there isn't much point in keeping it running and i was quite suprised that it was kept online for this long. Thanks for keeping it going for us all, and have a good one wherever you end up in the future.

Sad Panda is sad. There were some pretty awesome times in TD and some pretty crappy times in TD, but all the more memorable. I don't like to think of it as "we drifted apart", but like some of you were saying, we kinda got bored of playing TF2 or our real lives were conflicting with game time. As sad as I am to see the TD server shut down, I do know it is for the best and that there are no hard feelings to anyone. I'm thankful for the friendships I have made while being apart of this group. If you have not added me to Facebook yet, please do. My name is Complete Loser and I'm apart of something that doesn't make me feel like my name..
I see where your coming from though stool, maybe one day you'll find the balance in which to have life and time for games. For me I only game on the weekends if I can and it's a good balance as I was spending to much time on here like I was a kid again. It's a fun hobby and one to not be taken seriously because who honestly cares how good you are in real life at a video game? There is really no life to be made out of this one besides something to do when you have nothing to do or something to do when you don't feel like doing something you're supposed to do. I think selling your account is a good move, and if you want to get back on here the games you want to buy will be cheap anyways and you don't have to re-buy all the ones you have now.
I might keep the TF2 server up for a little while longer because we are getting such a damn good deal, I've looked for cheaper ones just for the time being and a 12 slot server would cost more lolz. Who knows, even when I'm on once or twice a week the server doesn't even get active but I really don't find myself playing some where else when I've had all the control and awesomeness of TD.
Have a good one out there if we don't get a chance to talk again.
TL:DR version: I understand, maybe find the balance of games/life, make the best of things.
