    I started playing TF2 again, for the first time since valentines day this year (GF at the time was meeting up with another guy), and I can't personally see what everyones problem is with the hats. While I agree that some people are going a bit overboard with the idea, I don't think it has any negative impact on the overall gameplay. What's everyone elses opinion about this?

    All pony pictures aside, like I said before, hats are just hats. Neat little things that don't effect gameplay and make you look silly/cool/special, which I love. MOAR HATS! (Except for the polycount sets, but Soldier/Pyro/Sniper sets aren't that great).

    i trade and go for weapons and things to make me kill people better.

    hats and cosmetic items make you stand out in the servers and make you an easier target when people know that you either A) are terrible and they can kill you quickly or B) you are amazing and they should gang gank you the first chance they get.

    annonymity is the key.
    now.... AFTER you rape someone and they look at your renamed weapon (i.e. DirkTarTar's Buttplug) and rage.... thats a different story.


    when i play, spy at least, i look for individuals who stand out. certain players if they r good enough will have hats or other adornments to make them noticeable in a group of their own teammates. and i zero in on them.

    i dont really care about it all... i just think that people who use it r dumb.

    Usually rare to find this happen on the "LEGION OF PONIES" server, but when it does it's very lulz-tastic to have somepony single you out amongst everypony else.

    Plus it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I know I've done so well that someone thinks I need to be singled out amongst the 12 other players on my team.
