It felt rather insubstantial, but it is just a demo.  Overall, I seem to be addicted to it, which is rather ironic because i was probably the biggest synic for this.  The weapons though, feel very weak, and I'll occasionally get a video glitch thing, but other than that I thought it was pretty impressive.  Just not sure if its worth the money.

I will say that VGCats does have its moments, but it's largely hit-or-miss. I was neutral towards its existence until a member of another forum I visit started posting the "miss" comics on a regular basis and tried to convince us all that they're actually funny. That has forever ruined the comic for me, but as I doubt you two have had to deal with similar circumstances I guess there's nothing to gain in telling you that I dislike the comic. :|

For me it was when he decided to update once every two months that it reached the "fuck it" point.

L4D2 is being sold now and you get to play the crappy demos that come before anyone else gets to play (aside from l4d1 which, lets be honest, feels like we just got a demo instead of an actual game).  And guess what, you get this expansion pack for the same price as last years biggest disappointment in gaming!  But wait, thats not all!  You also get an exclusive in game melee weapon!  Fuck those lead-coated chinese baseball bats, preorder gets you the glorious AMERICAN baseball bat!  Other symbols of the country that l4d2 takes place in (before it was infested by those bothersome zombies) include the AMERICAN pie, the AMERICAN flag, and the AMERICAN vintage george washington tooth (note, nothing but the bat actually is included in the game).  As we all know, the game takes place in new orleans (like it hasn't been through enough hell; Katrina, yearly college students on spring break/Marti Gras, etc.) and takes place during the day.  SPOILER WARNING: At the end of the game the levees break and you all die!

Also, Valve announced today that they are working on a super secret new game mode for L4d2 only (cause who plays l4d1 anyways).  Lucky for us a concept picture was leaked!

Well the vast majority of idlers were long time players that felt that they deserved a hat for being a long time customer of valve.  Instead we were labelled cheaters.  Giving the horns would be a good way of apologizing for going overboard with the labeling.

I lost all three of my hats, and about every single unlockable that I never used.  Anything of consequence is still mine, although i mildly miss the hats.  Having so many kind of made me not care about them...as for the halo, i'm sure its nice, but I don't care much anymore.  Since the scout update my faith in valve has steadily diminished and in all honesty I'm having a hard time having fun on tf2 anymore.  If you want me, I'll be on a created server, idling with my craptop.

I understand your concerns with the Force-A-Nature.  I remember once when Kenyan and I gang banged a heavy and he actually hit the map ceiling...However, with the addition of the sprint (which would only be with the scattergun) there is another effect that I left out (fucking character limit) and that is that sprint will probably be really fun and relatively easy to use, making more scouts use the scatter, instead of the Force-A-Nature.

Shadow there are only two koth maps in the rotation, and both are very good.  The problem is that everyone almost always votes for koth whenever its available, making it seem like we're always playing those two maps.

Dom if you're willing to make these changes, it could help for most things.  Set the minimum voting percentage for a vote to be successful to 50%+. Right now the vote always wins, which destroys the balance and originality the map cycle I came up with strives for.  Usually only 22% of people choose the map and its put the server in a wonky rotation.

Next, set both koth_nucleus and koth_viaduct timelimits to 30.  I love king of the hill but playing 10+ rounds a map is a bit tiring.  Also, if you could set all arena maps time limit to 20 minutes, that would help as well.

Valve recently added these cvars as well, and i think they should be implemented.

I suppose.  Most of the push maps are near clones of eachother in terms of gameplay.  Except for badlands.  Yukon is veeeery similar but has a nice environment so thats why i left it.  I'm all for replacing fastlane with cp_well.

As far as voting systems go, I'm all for it.
If you can get rtv and nominate up and running, that would only help.
My only request with it is that the percentage be fairly high, like 65%, for a vote to be successful.

Dom asked me to whip up a possible rotation with some good maps.  Common maps are at the beginning to get the server going, with more and more customs later on as people are on.  For the arena maps, I ask that the time limit be set to 20 minutes so its not too repetitive. King of the Hill should be started at 30 and then changed depending if people like it or not.

With todays update, the crit buff for both ARENA and CAPTURE THE FLAG can be turned off.  TURN THAT MUTHA FUCKA OFF!

The more expendable maps are at the very bottom all the way up to observatory.  Yes this is a very long map list, but thats the goal.  Things have been getting rather mundane, for most servers.  They don't have good variety and they repeat after a few maps. This is supposed to help TD stick out among the rest. With the huge array of game modes, environments, and high quality customs this rotation really should do the trick.
